The Kenora/Dryden Joint Forces Drug Unit, composed of the Kenora Police Service, Dryden Police Service, Atikokan Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police conducted an investigation in the Kenora area that resulted in the seizure of close to ½ kilo of marihuana.
Unit members, while conducting an investigation, seized a bag in the downtown area of Kenora. The bag contained 148 grams of marihuana. Most of the marihuana was in one gram bags. There were no arrests made but the investigation is continuing.
Shortly after, unit members received additional information and arrested a 44-year-old male and seized 212 grams of marihuana. At this time police believe the two incidents are not related.
The potential street value of the drugs seized is in excess of $3,000.00.
