The Tri-Force Drug Unit, composed of the RCMP, Thunder Bay Police and the OPP conducted an investigation in the Gore St. area of the city on the 02 October 01.
The police investigation resulted in the seizure of 29 mature marihuana plants, a quantity of dried marihuana, grow lights and other grow equipment. Two males, age 26 and 24 have been charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking and production of a controlled substance. The 26-year-old male also faces a charge of breach of a conditional sentence. He is being held for a bail hearing. The 24-year-old male has been released for court in Thunder Bay on the 23 November 01.
The potential street value of the drugs seized is $30,000.00.
