The Tri-Force Drug Unit, composed of the Thunder Bay Police, OPP and RCMP conducted an investigation in the Hwy 61 area of the city on the 30th September 01. As the result of the investigation a male subject was taken into custody.
Police seized 1½ kilo of marihuana, $785.00 cash and drug paraphernalia.
A 28-year-old male faces charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking and proceeds of crime. He was released and will appear in court in Thunder Bay on the 29th October 01.
The potential street value of the drugs seized is $20,000.00.
