The Tri-Force Drug Unit, composed of the OPP, Thunder Bay Police and RCMP conducted an investigation in the Kakabeka Falls area this date.
Police seized several packages containing 1.1 kilo’s of marihuana from several subjects in the Kakabeka Falls area. Two males, aged 54 and 41, and two females, aged 55 and 51, each face a charge of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking. All have been released and will appear in court on the 14 November 01. The potential street value of the drugs seized is $22,000.00.
In a second investigation this date, two males, aged 21, and two males, aged 20, were arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking after police seized approximately 168 grams of marihuana. The arrests were made in the Oliver Road and Balmoral Street area. All four have been released for court at a later date. The potential street value of the drugs seized is $3,380.00.
