The Kenora/Dryden Joint Forces Drug Unit, composed of the Dryden Police Service, Kenora Police Service and OPP executed a search warrant on a St. Charles Street residence in Dryden on the 21 September 01.

The uniform members from the Dryden Police Service assisted drug officers in the search. During the course of the search police dealt with a total of 19 individuals that attended the residence during the investigation. As the result of the investigation police arrested and charged seven individuals ranging in age from 17 to 24 years. The investigation is continuing with a total of nine charges being laid. Charges being preferred are possession for the purposes of trafficking, proceeds of crime and possession of a controlled substance. Police are still seeking two of the subjects to be charged.

Police seized ½ kilo of marihuana, a quantity of hash oil, hash and cash. The potential street value of the drugs seized is $10,000.00. The investigation is continuing.
