The Tri-force Drug Unit, composed of the RCMP, Thunder Bay Police and OPP conducted an investigation, on 20 September 2001, in the town of Pinewood, west of Fort Frances.
The search of the property was conducted by the Tri-Force Drug Unit, OPP Canine Unit, members of the Fort Frances Opp Detachment and Opp Helicopter Unit.
As the results of the search police seized 18 mature marihuana plants, half a pound of dried marihuana, 7 long guns, a cross bow and a switchblade knife. Police also seized a quantity of cash.
Jacob Enns, age 35, of Pinewood, Ontario faces charges of production of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime, insecurely stored weapon and possession of firearms with no permit.
Another male, age 49, is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The potential street value of the drugs seized is $23,000.00.
