KETAMINE
STREET NAMES:
- Special K, K, Vitamin K, Cat Valium
- This is an injected anesthetic known as Ketamine hydrochloride. It is
primarily used as animal tranquilizer by veterinarians in pet surgery but
can be used on humans in a medical setting.
- It is found in a white powder similar to Cocaine or in capsules.
EFFECTS:
- Has similar effects as PCP giving the user powerful hallucinations, visual
distortion and lost sense of time. Effects of drug last from half an hour to
two hours.
LOW DOSES:
- Impaired attention, memory.
HIGH DOSES:
- Delirium, amnesia, impaired motor skills, high blood pressure, and
potentially fatal respiratory problems.
HOW IT IS USED:
- Snorted, smoked with Marihuana or tobacco
- In liquid form it is injected into a muscle rather than a vein.
- Often used at parties, dances, etc.
- Frequently combined with other drugs such as Ecstasy, Heroin and Cocaine.
